Do Not Wait
You know where you are.
Look around you.
Now ask yourself: where do you want to go?
Some people use their own adversities and leverage them so they can help others never be the same again.
Others don't even try.
You’ll find great power in helping others achieve their own personal goals, and great strength in overcoming your fears.
You will find nothing in fear and regret without burying deep down to find solutions to your problems.
Are you here to sit and wait for death - or are you here to attack life with everything you’ve got?
What you’ve got to understand is that there are plenty more hurdles that will come your way, and plenty that you’ve already left behind.
Perhaps the biggest blunder of them all is failing to see where you’ll draw the line.
Just cut the line out of your life altogether.
Decide to make a change.
What you could be looking for is: how do I stop doing something that I know I shouldn’t do, but I’m doing anyway?
There are many ways, but first you must understand that:
Your actions have consequences - you are simply a node in a giant network of people, and everything you do will ripple out into your life and other people.
That one extra nice hour spent procrastinating that you think you can have now, because it’s just a little hour - is the entire summation of all of the hours that you will will not only waste today, but for the rest of your life.
You see, what you must understand is that you’re programming your subconscious so that it gains a reward from doing something completely stupid.
Act. Commit. Take a leap, not only now but for the rest of your life.
Death is coming. Time waits for no one. People break far too soon before the real war has even begun.
What you have to do is take your broken dreams, and use them to craft new ones.
Find something that will give you power, not only over today - but for the rest of your life.
You’ll lose motivation in a day, a week, a month, a year - what you won’t lose is discipline.
The power that comes from within, to attack anything you want with everything you have.
If you want motivation, it’ll probably go - give it time.
Your motivation will slowly decay as quickly as your ego does.
Move aggressively towards your goals.
Step forward, right here and right now.
DO NOT WAIT.
DO NOT HESITATE.
YOU WILL DIE - THAT IS A CERTAINTY.
The real tragedy lies within letting your mind die before your body does.
IF YOU WANT A LIFE OF MEANING, YOU HAVE TO PLACE MEANING INTO EVERYTHING YOU DO.
From watching TV and acting on impulses, to getting that extra hour of sleep because you feel like it - are you sure you want to do that?
You have to care about who you want to become.
You have to realize that there are consequences to your actions.
There are people who contend with pain on a daily basis - what are you doing about that?
Imagine you being in pain for your entire life and no one even glancing your way. It happens all the time.
Look around you: people are in poverty. There are people who have to contend with the same pain you're going through on a daily basis. Many people have to deal with much, much worse.
Open your eyes.
THE ONLY PERSON YOU CAN CONTROL IS YOURSELF.
You will fail. You will struggle, but for what?
What exactly are you living for?
Decide, and move.
Every single day — step closer towards your goals. You have to build the life you want to create, brick by brick.
“If you can't fly then run, if you can't run then walk, if you can't walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.” - Martin Luther King Jr
